Step 1:

Let's start out by uploading your image.

Step 2

Now using the Rectangular Marquee tool, cut out the part of the seed shown to the left. Once thats completed.

You need to separate the top from the bottom and make sure you have the top in a different layer from the bottom.

Using the pen tool

Cut out the bottom of the skirt to make it a little wavy, you can discard the cut out parts.

Step 3. Grab your pen tool again.

Now we need cut out the arm part, On the left I have the part of the image you need to cut out. Zoom into your image to get a close up. You will have a better image.

Step 4

In this step you will see the arm cut out, move it in place any where you like. I'm creating a dancer so I need one arm up and one down. Duplicated the first arm

Note: Don't worry about blending the arms and the body right now. We will do it at the end.

Step 5

In this step, we will create the legs, we need to do the same for the arm.

You will use the long stem for the legs.

Step 6

With the leg forming, we will have to now create the shoe for our dancer.

For the shoes- Cut out any part of the skirt/ seed and warp it around the leg and blend it into the leg. Once blending is complete and your happy with the out come. MERGE the layer.

.Use the burn tool and burn the bottom of the feet.

Step 7

Duplicate the leg and flip it so you have a right leg and left leg. and move one of the legs so see looks like a ballerina.

Lets give our dancer a head

Step 8

The same part of the seed u used for the skirt, will be the head. wrap it until it forms something u like

Step 9

Now to make the skirt look better, take the wrap tool and spread it out. ONCE spread out take the blur tool and smooth out the bottom of the skirt.

Ok your just about finish.

In this final step, you blend the arm the legs into the body.

Now I hope you kept the skirt. we need it again. Duplicate the skirt layer and place it behide the orginal skirt. USE the the duplicated later and burn it to have a darker tone.

This should be your final result.

You can use the Hue/ Saturation to change the color of the dancer.

Oh yeah. You can combine your layers.
