Step 1
Open the cat image list on the sources and cut out the ear of thr cat.-Simple first step.
Step 2
Select the warp tool-Go to Edit-Transform-Warp. Try and warp the ear to suit mine as much as you can, to form an elf ear.
Step 3
Once warp is completed, select the smudge tool, and smudge the inner ear out. Select the size of the brush that’s suited for you.
Step 4
Use the select tool and draw out a rectangular shape as shown in the first image. Cut and paste into a new layer once you have your selection, then warp to form the second image in the first box. Once that’s completed burn and dodges to create the appropriate dept.
Step 5
Now that step 4 is completed merge the ear and the little ear part together, creating the image you see below. Scale if needed to fit the ear better.
Step 6
Ok in this step, we need to create a hole on the end of the ear, this is where the earing will be placed. In image two use the Dodge Tool and dodge the center of the ear, creating the white marking you see on it. Select the Elliptical marquee and draw out the circle for the earring.with the Dodge and burn tool tool apply the effects shown below ,around the ear opening.
Step 7
Flip the ears around, making the flap on the right hand side. Now select the the earring image, as you see on the right. I just wanted the center on the gold image. Once you cut out the gold button, resize and fit right behind the ear.
Step 9
Below is the finish result, to the right its the same ear, recreated but can be used as the ear to the avator. If you find this a little difficult to follow, please email me for the psd.
