Step 1

Create a new file (File>New) of 1600x1200 px and 72 dpi. Full background with black color, applying the Paint Bucket Tool (G).
Get the Paint Bucket Tool (G) use this colors hex: #eb0be3 ( use any color you want) Choose the Pen Tool (P) and draw the contours element as in the picture below. Make sure you have shape layer selected

Step 2

After that, select on the made layer Blending Options>Inner Glow,

Bevel and Emboss

Bevel and Emboss>

Contour Satin

Gradient Overlay

Gradient Editor

Step 3

Using the same Pen Tool (P), try to make the eyes for the alien. In this case it's enough to make just one eye which may be copied later (Ctrl+J). The eye may be also turned, applying the Free Transform selection (Ctrl+T).

Step 4

Now we will add some Blending Options to the eyes- Inner Shadow , Outer Glow

Bevel and Emboss. Copy and paste that layer styles into the other eyes, so you don't have to repeat the steps - With the blending options apply you should have the effect as shown below.

Step 5

Now apply the shadow and the highlight on the alien's face. Use the pen tool and draw the highlight as shown.
