Step 1
Open a new document in photoshop. Set width/height to 250x250.. Create a new layer and name it "InSplat ".Select the Custom Shape tool (or just hit the letter U).4. From the Custom Shape dropdown, select the shape titled "splat

Select black as your foreground color, then hold the shift key, and drag to make the ink blot shape.
Step 3
Select the Eliptical Marquee tool and create a small circle selection outside the ink blot shape.

Fill in the circular selection with black.Do this a few more times, with circle selections of various sizes outside of the ink blot shape.When you are done, your ink blot should look similar to the graphic I have to the left

Select the Eliptical Marquee tool and create a small circle selection in the center of the ink blot.

. Click the Delete key.Click CTRL + D to deselect all selections. Your image should now look like the following:

Double click the " Splat " layer from the layer's palette to edit the Layer Styles.Change the "Drop Shadow" properties Ink

Change the "Inner Shadow" properties

Change the "Gradient Overlay" properties

Change the "Stroke" properties . Accept the changes to the Layer Styles and you should now have the following effect:

Create a new layer and name it "Gloss".Select white as your foregrond color.
Just as you did in Steps 5, 6, and drag the custom "splat" shape so that it overlaps the underlying ink blot graphic.
Be sure to make it a bit smaller than the underlying ink splat graphic.
Step 12
Select the Eliptical Marquee tool, hold down the Shift key, and drag a perfect circle selection around the bottom right of the white Splat shape that you made in the previous step.
Step 13
Hit the Delete key to remove the bottom right portion.
Step 14
Select the Eraser tool. Choose a small brush size for the eraser. Zoom in on the center circle of the ink splat graphic and remove the white area from the Gloss layer that is overlapping the circle.
Step 15
Set the opacity of the "Gloss" layer to 40%.
27. Zoom out and you should now have your "Ink Blot Graphic"

You can blur the "Gloss" to creat another effect
Step 17
You can always change the colors of the ink blot by going into the Layer Styles and changing the "Gradient Overlay" properties.
